Chelsea vs Tottenham News, Stats and Predictions

Chelsea will look to lift the Carabao Cup for the first time in 2015 but will have to get past a Tottenham Hotspur side looking to end their trophy drought under the guidance of a former Blues boss.

The Blues are the favourites to win this tie at 49/50 with Grosvenor Sport while Spurs are 29/10 and a draw is 5/2.

Of course, there will be plenty of talk about Antonio Conte’s return to Stamford Bridge since leaving the club back in July 2018.

A lot has happened in those four years and the fact he will return as manager of one Chelsea’s main rivals will certainly add a bit of spice to atmosphere in this match.

Tuchel guided Chelsea to Champions League glory earlier this year but is yet to win anything on the domestic front and has a great chance to lift something in February but has to get past a Spurs side undefeated under their Italian gaffer.

Player to watch

I think we are in for a tough end-to-end encounter here. Conte will be keen to bring back some silverware to Tottenham at the first time of asking while Tuchel will want to bring home some domestic success too.

It is a choice between Son Heung-min and Christian Pulisic for my player to watch out for.

Son has been superb since Conte’s arrival while Pulisic got the equaliser in a brilliant comeback at Stamford Bridge against Liverpool last time out.

I think I am going to back the American here.
